For our May 2020 Wine of the Month we present to you our 2018 Viognier. A luxurious grape grown at Lang Vineyards and also sourced from vineyards in Summerland and Keremeos. Lang was the first vineyard in BC to plant Viognier vines. Our vines are now over 35 years old and continue to produce a luxurious wine.
This vintage features lovely tropical aromas and tastes along with a rich, mouthwatering finish. This is a delightfully full bodied white wine!
Viognier food pairings are indeed a delight. From meat dishes to vegetarian and everything in between, Viognier is so versatile. This month we are pairing our Viognier with a Seared Mahi Mahi with Zesty Basil Butter. Oooh yes! Alternately, for a real treat, try pairing on Cinco de Mayo this year with Salsa Verde Chicharrón Tacos and homemade Pickled Jalapenos! The spice really brings out the tropical notes in the wine. You won’t be sorry!
