Oh how we love our September Wine of the Month, the 2019 Petite Juliette. This blend is 44% Riesling, 39.5% Gewürztraminer, 14.5% Pinot Blanc and 2% Muscat, giving it a wonderful balance of aromatics, acid and sugar.
This is a classic Alsatian style blend that lends to a wide range of delectable food pairings. It’s light and pretty. Dominated by flavours of lychee, ripe melon, lemon curd, green apple and watermelon, with soft hints of exotic fruits, white lily, clove and coriander. It has refreshing acidity with a delicate mouthfeel and a clean finish. If you’re looking for a wine to pair with most BC coastal cuisine, this is it. Try pairing it a seafood pasta with hints of chili, or with BC sablefish.
