“Fall at Lake O’Hara” Watercolour, 26”x 20”
By J. Kelso Turnbull
Lake O’Hara is a remote lake in Yoho National Park, and one of the most renowned hiking areas in the British Columbia Rockies. My favourite hiking season at Lake O’Hara is fall, when the larches turn the hillsides golden, and a light dusting of snow covers the high peaks.
J. Kelso Turnbull is a Naramata artist specializing in watercolour landscapes, and is an active member of the Naramata Arts Studio. As a teenager, he attended courses at the Glasgow School of Art, in Scotland. His watercolours have been exhibited extensively, and four watercolour landscapes (including this one) are currently on display at Lang’s Vineyard wine shop gallery.
